Lina Ruokienė — Vilnius studio
I am Lina Ruokienė, a graphic artist based in Vilnius, Lithuania. My practice centres on architectural drawing — a discipline I understand as a form of looking: slow, deliberate, and deeply attentive to what a building reveals about the people and culture that made it.
I work primarily in pen & ink, tracing proportions, ornament, and the particular gravity of old stone. My watercolour work allows for more atmospheric interpretation — looser, more emotional, less literal. Both pursuits aim at the same thing: capturing what it feels like to stand before a building.
Lithuania's architectural heritage — its baroque churches, its wooden vernacular, its modernist traces — is remarkable and, in places, fragile. I want to help document it with care.
Architectural drawing is a form of careful looking. Watch a piece develop from the first exploratory marks to a finished portrait of a building.
